In August, a new version of Android 13 was released. The new version of Android is usually released in the fall. However, this year Google decided to release it earlier – the stable build of Android 13 is already available for download. True, only for a limited number of smartphones of the branded series.
With Android 13, you can restrict or grant apps access to individual photos and videos. Auto-clearing the clipboard deletes the copied important information after a while, preventing access to it. The developers have added support for HDR video in third-party camera applications and implemented many other changes.
New features in Android 13:
– Pixel Launcher received support for two desktop layouts at once – regular and for folding screens (we are waiting for the folding Google Pixel);
– The taskbar received six slots for applications running in the background (for large screens);
– Extended access to applications from guest profiles used on a smartphone;
– Silent mode now turns off not only sounds, but also vibration, extinguishing all tactile feedback;
– Disabling the call of the voice assistant by holding the return key to the desktop for a three-key combination;
– Changed the layout of the elements on the “Now Playing” notification for a more convenient interaction;
– Expanded support for system-wide design with the ability to replace the icon of any application with an icon in the style of Material You.
